Financial Services - the big discussion about reshaping US financial regulation and the international dimension

Yesterday, the Financial Regulatory Reform Plan of US President Barack Obama’s Administration was publicly announced. It is likely to focus the already wide debate of how the US financial markets must reshape in order to overcome the current crisis, and to prevent future ones.
Of course, the Plan does not disregard the international dimension of the crisis. It pleads for tightening regulatory capital standards, improving the oversight of global financial markets, fostering the cooperation in supervising internationally active financial firms, and enhancing the crisis management tools.
